Life goals: Jenny Whitelock quit an office job in Canberra to live on a remote WA farm with 17 border collies.

Her pack of pooches eat almost 60 kilograms of food a week.

She trains them for the competitive sport of sheepdog trialling, in which dogs herd sheep around a paddock and through obstacles, such as fences, bridges and gates.

Ms Whitelock was introduced to sheepdog trials by Tony Boyle, a man who accidentally sold her a blind border collie.

He farms on WA’s south coast and has been involved with the iconic rural sport for about 34 years.
